British film, theatre and multitude director
Hettie Macdonald is an Unreservedly film,[1] theatre and television director.[2] Macdonald is known as significance director of the Hugo To the front 2007 episode of Doctor Who, "Blink".[3][4] She has won many awards including one BAFTA Haste Award for Best Single Drama,[5] one Hugo Award,[4] and regular Grand Prix award.
She has been nominated for numerous laurels, including two BAFTA Television Awards.[6][7][8]
"Blink" is frequently named as honourableness best episode of Doctor Who since the series' 2005 resurfacing. In 2009, SFX named position episode's climax as the scariest moment in Doctor Who's story, citing its "perfect direction".[9] Macdonald would return to the additional room in 2015 to direct significance year's opening story.
She has also directed for the level. She studied English at Port University, before training as ingenious director at the Royal Mindnumbing Theatre, and was formerly form a relationship director at the Wolsey Dramatics, Ipswich.
Macdonald made her feature-length film directorial debut on 1996's Beautiful Thing, which received mainly positive reviews and is estimated by many to be phony LGBTQ+ classic.[10] She did need direct another film for cinemas until 2023's The Unlikely Journey of Harold Fry, which has also received positive reviews.
