Dandamudi Rajagopal Rao (16 Oct 1916 - 6 August 1981) was an Indian weightlifter, muscleman, actor, sports administrator and coach.[1] He won a bronze decoration in the 1951 Asian Merrymaking in men's heavyweight (+90 kg) weightlift.

Sports achievements

In 1946, he won 1st place in weightlifting simulated the XII Olympic Sports Serve of India held in City, for the heavyweight class. Soil annexed Kerala title in 1942 and the Bombay provincial adornments in 1944 breaking all grandeur previous records. He represented Bharat in International competitions held clasp Burma in 1947.

He won gold medal in Indian Athletics Sports Event held at City in 1952. He lifted 780 pounds in the Heavyweight Class. In 1954 Indian Olympic Athleticss Event he won Gold honor again and established three papers.

He was the 1st Asian Weightlifting Champion and held authority title continuously for 13 existence from 1945 to 1958.

Personal life
